The I-CAT at Smiles Created Daily was the first Cone Beam CT scanner for dental use in the State of Wyoming. It provides a complete view of all oral and maxillofacial structures in a system that allows Dr. Peterson to dramatically increase his patient’s care.

ICAT features an open environment seated position, a typical scan time of only 20 seconds, and significantly lower radiation levels compared to traditional CT scans; patient comfort and safety have been significantly increased. In addition, an immediate three dimensional reconstruction of patients’ mouth, face and jaw is created. This gives patients a better understanding of their treatment options and more confidence when undergoing treatment.

The ICAT's high-definition, advanced imaging technology can be used by a variety of Specialists to look at different areas in the head. Dr. Peterson uses its unique 3D imaging software to format and select desired tooth slices to view for further analysis. The 3D reconstruction gives Dr. Peterson the opportunity to thoroughly analyze bone structure, tooth orientation and joint space as well as detect and evaluate deformities and pathologies.
